Give it time to ramp back up. My first two weeks back after maternity leave I had almost nothing to do. Approx. 6 weeks in and I’m having to turn down projects because I’m at capacity.
Yes take advantage of finding a new work life balance while you’re not too busy, especially since it’s the end of the billable yr soon.

Just wander around and chat with people and mentally prepare yourself to not make your hours.
You might need to let people know you're available as they may not know your exact return date or schedule. Someone asked me if I came back part time or full time (I did not know part time was an option) and has been steadily offering me opportunities as they arise but it took over a week.
If you were busy before and had interest while you were out (people asking about your return date/sending stuff just in case you can look at it) trust that the work will come and enjoy easier days where yiu can maybe even leave early to be with your kid more!
