🗣️ FLORIDA PANHANDLE EMPLOYERS! Stop offering a salary that is less than what a person can make at Buc-ee's!

Some of the firms with the HIGHEST turnover and most stress, offer a ridiculously low salary. Their pay rate hasn't even changed since COVID! Even with inflation, these firms expect someone to work 8-9 hours for less than a livable wage!

Would you deal with the responsibilities of the role for that salary and remain dedicated?

Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?

Hi everyone! First time using this app. I always wondered, how are other IT help desk jobs? I’ll share how mine is.
I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.

Feel like audit scheduling is always done on a knifes edge in that the timeline and staff schedules are enough so that if everyone works 60 hour weeks and no issues are identified then it can be filed on time. But even small things that increase the work can wildly throw off the schedule and cause hours to skyrocket for the staff on the job. No real point here, just ranting.
