i’ve always found it challenging to work in public. taking calls in a crowded area isn’t ideal

i live in an apartment complex and have a nice rooftop with views of the city - sometimes i’ll manage nurturing and cadence building up there when i’ve been inside too long

Communal Coffee in North Park is always my favorite, but sometimes it's too packed to find a spot. Holsem Coffee also has great drinks and is usually a little less busy.

I am going to have to give this place a try. Thank you for the recommendation.

La Colombe UTC is so cute. Very friendly staff in the UTC mall

Spill the Beans is kind of small but it's super cute and their lox bagel is absolutely everything. Everyone in this feed should try it

All of the lestats are great. The Hillcrest location has an upstairs hidden behind the mummy

No, because I have a moka pot at home that makes the best espresso and a home office to boot. No need to go out to a place that changes $7 for coffee and forces me to work on slower internet in a cramped space.

Genteel coffee in NP

Coffee shops have always been a place to do business. The only real difference now is the laptops, rather than the paper and chats. I usually don't want to take the time off work, when my car is in the garage. So I work at the coffee shop near the garage.

OB Beans or Template! I live by OB so those are my go-to options.

Finally got my hands on one. I was expecting it to feel much cheaper than it does. Definitely still get the quality feel that Swatch is known for. The weight is nothing like a real speedy, but still looks great imo. I went with the Mission to Pluto as I didn’t want one that looks too much like the real thing, and the Mars/Sun versions had the gauche white strap imo. Overall pleased for $260.

I’m a new associate working for a well-known defense attorney in my state. On one hand, I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn from one of the best, but he also excoriates and belittles me for my mistakes. Any advice on how much it tolerable? I am here to learn and advance my career but he can be pretty nasty. (My mistakes are no worse than you’d expect a 1st year associate to make, in case you’re all wondering if I’m a major screw-up who deserves it) I leave work feeling a foot tall.

Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.
