Just got divorced after being separated for a year. Any suggestions for places to go and meet new folks?

Just celebrated my 2 year divorce anniversary. With my current SO :) met him at a bluegrass festival when I wasn't even looking. My suggestion is to focus on yourself! What's for you will come

Breweries seem to have a good diversity and many are striving to have events throughout the week. Miramar and Mira mesa areas have a good selection.

I like going out in Little Italy. I feel like it’s a good crowd and I’ve met/dated 2 men I met going out there. Neither of them worked out, but at least one of them was a really quality guy 😂

Nolita Hall is a good spot, b/c they have bar area with standing room where groups tend to mix and mingle

I met soooo many good people in facebook groups! I joined different local groups that I had an interest in and made lots of friends that way. I would def give it a try.

Its hard being the new guy. I am going to have to check out these facebook groups though. I am always looking to meet new people

I have tried the dating apps and they all suck. I would suggest trying to meet someone organically. There are lots of fun bars and spots to hang out and meet really great folks.

My husband does not show affection openly and is quite lazy in bed, and I thought I could deal with it because I love him, but it’s really really beginning to annoy me. For example, he refuses to do any foreplay and basically asks that I get on top of him most of the time when we have have sex- if I push him to do anything else he basically just refuses to have sex at all as some sort of ‘protest’. I am finding myself fantasising about an affair more and more

Let’s say you have two young, high income partners in a couple who want to buy a house together but don’t really care to get married. They already live together in an apartment but both want to move to a house to build equity and have a yard, not share walls, etc. Should one partner buy the house and the other pays rent until they get married, or should they get a mortgage together without being married? I realize there isn’t a “right” answer but I’m interested in people’s experiences here.

Anyone else struggling with hormones / mood swings? I am almost 16 weeks and been having a real tough time lately, feeling really down and stressed about things. Sadly, causing tension between me and my partner as well as he cannot relate and seems preoccupied with business as usual. Trying to get out the funk and just telling myself it’s all the hormones.

TLDR: Getting over your ex of 2.5 years ghosting you after they said they wanted to reconnect.

I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. The break up must’ve been like a 4-5 minute FaceTime because I was very distraught. After we broke up, she started seeing someone else but I was heartbroken and it’s taken me over a year to really get over everything and process those feelings. (Cont.)

Confession: The only in-law that I had a great relationship with passed away unexpectedly. The two remaining in-laws were on thin ice with me prior due to years of drama, nagging, and disgusting display of wealth. I believe their demand of money and general assholish behavior drove in law to his death. I love my S.O. but I can’t deal with the drama anymore.

I want to have a family and a future that is drama-free and full of love and don’t want to surround myself with negativity.

I give massive kudos to all the parents out there juggling work and home life. But it’s starting to feel like I pulled the short stick by not having a kid. Really struggling to pick up all of the slack from all of the colleagues that do have kids and feel like the expectation is that parents should turn off while the rest are working from 7am - 2am everyday to make up for it.
