For my retail and hospitality folks, do you work on Christmas Day or day after Christmas I know in retail you work Black Friday

Always have worked Christmas Eve and the day after. We use to work thanksgiving day but they thankfully saw that was not ok and closed.

We're closed on Christmas Day, so that's not an issue. I've got off tomorrow but some people will be at work. Black Friday is an odd situation in recent years, those early morning doorbuster stampedes are a thing of the past. I'm happy about that, though I do have some funny memories of working during some of that mayhem.

I am working both today and tomorrow. I don't really mind though, we make time and a half. And it give me the perfect excuse to not have to spend time with family haha.

I’ve worked yesterday and I am working today. That’s hospitality

I usually take Christmas and boxing day off working the rest of the holiday season I just do lots of family things over these 2 days.

I want to get to know the local private companies. I worked at a private company with 2-3k employees before my MBA. They had an amazing culture, but limited progression opportunities. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs. I’m wondering what is the best way to approach the topic of getting on the full salary/hours. Do I wait until the bonuses are given at the end of my first year? Or bring it up at mid-year review?
