For those of you leading other RMs, what does your day to day look like? How are you providing value without micromanaging?

3L with mostly A’s and B’s. I am having the worst luck trying to find work for after school and my experience working with lawyers has left me completely dejected. I cannot get an interview to save my life. I was so excited to get an externship summer after 2L with a small business and IP firm only to get yelled at on the phone a few times for not doing an assignment correctly. Mind you, I was working FOR FREE as it was a school connected externship. That made me never want to work in the law.

What are my chances of getting into APM programs at companies like Meta and Uber as a student from a non-CS background and little experience?

Currently working on my MS Finance degree, graduating in December. Working on my resume and was wondering if I should include a projects section (which would be projects/assignments from classes)?

Hello, in my previous organisation I worked in development domain (Oracle IAM Tool and Java)and my post was software Engineer, i joined Wipro as project Engineer in April 2022 and was assigned non technical project as an analyst.

I fought my way hard to get released from the project. However my designation is changed as Analyst. Should I ask for change in designation as I know that analyst is non-technical profile? Would my designation impact my future role as well?

Just started at the firm a month and half ago and snapshots are already happening soon. How important are they? I’ve had pretty low utilization, so I’m kinda nervous as an experienced hire

A Partner asked me to “monitor” her Outlook and gave me access. Basically the ask is to delete or “read” unnecessary emails/forward work to managers/forward invites to her admin. Is this normal? Never had to monitor someone else’s Outlook at my previous firm and this feels like an admin work. I am a new experienced hire (S3) FYI.

Do you feel like making a personal connection with your resources to learn about them, their interests etc can make a difference on whether or not someone quits?

Experienced hires can sometimes be like the salt water taffy of resources. They’re there, but no one wants them 🤦‍♀️

In an environment where we’re barely surviving, fielding resignations left and right, I thought this might be a good place to vent, source ideas, discuss common trends etc. Our field is very unique and hard to find comps in terms of salary, daily duties, expectations so I’m hoping we can have an open dialogue on this!

Would you say that RM is a safe field during a recession? Just transferred to a team that’s mostly remote and so a little worried, but it’s the job I’ve been looking for! Hoping I’m not making the wrong decision.
