How do you transition from big 4 consulting to big law? My clients are all funds, and I do international tax consulting. I have used my connections to refer me into probably 10 big law firms and it’s not working. One most recently came back and said they aren’t interested bc I have no law firm experience. How am I supposed to get it though? I can’t go to lower ranked firms bc my clients are all “big.” … any suggestions appreciated!

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Big 4 consultant with 10 yoe, mostly in ERP/CRM implementation and program/project management, have Salesforce Admin cert but not much hands on experience due to mostly management exp, looking into Director TPM roles - should I apply? I was on a partner/manager call today and they were discussing the “high” turnover at the senior and experienced associate level. What was shocking is that while ours is about double normal, evidently we are 3 out of 4 in turnover meaning 2 of the Big 4 are even higher.
