I don't think I would look at it by company size.
I would look at it by the how "real" of a product role it actually is. You'll only get that by looking at job listings and asking questions in interviews.
Alot of jobs have the Product Manager title, but involve very little, if any actual Product Management work. This is true at startups and fortune 500 companies.
This is one of the better breakdowns I've seen of what to look for:

Think of it based on your personality and what your think you want your career to look like. Did you go to (and love!) a big school or did you go to a small school? Do you like variety and wearing a lot of different hats or are you a purist and put round pegs in round holes? Your best option always is to find the match that’s right for you else it will be draining over time. read or take the test for 6 Types of Working Genius, then explore. It’s not just some personality test but helps frame where you can align your energy s your work
Startup in my opinion. It’s easier to conform to a bigger organization with define product processes as opposed to a startup, and you’ll own a lot more. A lot of Fortune 500’s will split product mgmt/ marketing out separately for example.
Good PMs shape themselves by pulling in whatever they need to develop the skills they want to build -- you are your primary product, and you are a product you pitch to employers.
Don't worry about the long run, worry about making the transition. Go wherever will hire you into a role with a PM title, then build up from there.

Neither guarantees any sort of trajectory. What kind of role do you want? March that with job descriptions and what companies have to offer and focus on getting your foot in the door however you can right now.
