Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

1. Don’t talk about OE with any colleagues or professional acquaintances.
2. Live off of one job and save or pay off debt with other.
3. Have an exit plan.
4. Mouse jiggler (keeps you active on all computers)
5. Don’t mix work computers
6. Separate cellphone for each job
7. Meetings will overlap, use headsets and make sure you keep all calls on mute.
8. Get off of LinkedIn.
Ok the list goes on.
Good luck
Block your calendars! Nothing worse than surprise overlapping meetings
If you live in the East Coast, take clients from the West Coast. The time difference allows all EST stand ups to end before the PST ones begin.
Also take a break from J1 for a week or two to get ramped up on J2.
Take J2 through contracting/consulting firms. The clients tend to think you have more than one engagement going on at a time for J2 and tend to be more forgiving with schedules and moving around meeting times.
Instead of a mouse jiggler download and learn how to use AutoHotKey. They have keep-alive scripts that will move your mouse one pixel to the left and then one pixel to the right to stave off the screensavers. Also setup an AHK template for yourself and input all your passwords into hot keys so you don’t need to memorize everything.
Keep your head down and stop being an A-player. Stay under the radar. This was honestly one of the hardest parts for me.
Take on 3-6 month contract jobs and take a few months of break between jobs. You WILL need the breathing room for sanity’s sake.
This is the way...
Separate technology when possible, separate computers ALWAYS, separate phone as well. Use project management software to your advantage. Automate what you can.
Work in separate fields if at all possible. You never want to be in a meeting X Company and have someone recognize you for your work at Zeecorps.
Heard of one of our folks taking a J2 at a client. The client then comes to a slalom meeting and randomly apologizes for pulling the overemployed associate to their side. 🤷♂️
The slalom person was like 🤔
