Bain & Company I have a second round with Bain & Company coming up at the DC office for Experienced Consultant role. Excited, but hella nervous. Recruiter said it’d be 3 separate interviews, all with Partners; 2 case, 1 fit. About 40 mins each. First round was 2 case interviews with Sr. manager & Associate Partner. Been a rough year, so definitely looking forward to this opportunity. I’ve been on the site and going through preparation and materials. Any advice or suggestions welcomed!

Yes - have confidence in yourself.
One of the big things they’ll look for is your ability to effectively market / spin yourself and your experience.
Coming into it with an “I’m disadvantaged” outlook is negative, more so if they pick up on it.
There must be a reason you were recommended, so make sure to defend that as you're representing your friend and his reputation. What do you mean fake it till you make it? You must have sth relevant to say and at least have the right motivation and understanding of what you're getting into
There’s a lot of things about the art of a deal that can only be learned from the principal side. It’s not always models and bottles, there’s a lot of deals under the covers that are pounded on but ultimately do not transact. There’s also the highly specialized understanding of specific markets/asset classes/industry combined with depth of relationships that cannot be reproduced.
Just be honest and be yourself. Try to maintain the image/reputation of your friends friend while getting an IN for yourself. Best of luck.
