Just bought a house not too long ago and I want to Air BnB it out but was curious to know what kind of guests Seattle attracts? I have kids so I'm on the fence (moved from LA and refused to do Air BnB there because..it's LA).

You’re gonna have them live there while you’re there? Anyway based on your question I feel like you’re not cut out for Airbnb. You can’t discriminate based on the type of guests lol

like

Yeah I mean I just think realistically you have limited control on the type of guests you have. I think you can mitigate risk with party size limits, strict wording on rules, and stuff like “neighbors are very noise sensitive” to filter out some people. The good news is that Seattle isn’t really the destination for nightlife so we don’t have like bachelor and bachelorette party crowds

There are several factors that would influence the type of guest you have such as location, bed count, price, etc.

This is true, I guess I was asking in general

House next to me became an Airbnb about 6 months to me. 3 sorry townhome, usually families and girls/Women’s weekends because of the rooftop deck. Haven’t seen any rowdy people yet

I mean that my roommates and I are 24 and enjoy having a good time up on the rooftop deck. Always fun to have other people on the connected decks having a good time as well lol. Far from the norm I would expect though haha

Just price it hella high so it roots out the obnoxious

Try it and find out. Haven’t done any market research.

When, or if you set time aside to take care of yourself or do something for yourself, what do you do? I'm realizing I don't really have any "healthy" ways of relaxing outside of work, so drop whatever you got. It's starting to affect my personal life and I'm worried I won't be able to have healthy relationships unless I can take care of myself first.

Seattle Fish - I’m moving to the area with my SO. What neighborhoods besides Capital Hill would be a great place to stay? I’d be commuting to Bellevue. We enjoy going out to restaurants, hiking, but also cook a lot so access to grocery store nearby would be nice too. Both would have cars

Can you guys tell me your thoughts about living there (specifically being a black female, childless)? The culture? Cost of living? Pros and cons? Also I would like some opinions on the salary. The recruiter said the pay would be 82K with a 10K sign on bonus? Is this enough? Thank you in advance 😊😊😊
