If your firm is a reputable boutique that people know, I wouldn’t expect you to have to eat a class year at all.

This. I think we’re often a bit too reflexive with the “take a class year cut!” advice- it’s a case by case determination. Under these facts, since you’re coming from a Cravath scale (and therefore I’m assuming, respected) boutique in the same practice area, a class year cut may not be necessary, especially if the market is hot/there’s a need at the firm you’re eyeing.

Its not impossible. It'll help if the market is hot for your group and youre willing to eat a class year.
I'm in litigation. I am willing to go down a year

Adding to the above, I imagine you also have more developed litigation skills than your equivalent class year in Big Law.
Play up your litigation skills. I think you will do well.
Why are leaving the boutique? Is it hard to transition to in-house from a boutique?
Is it not hard to transition to in-house from litigation generally, regardless of biglaw or boutique? Curious to know why OP wants to move to biglaw.
I just lateraled out of a well-regarded boutique in my practice to a BL firm. I willingly took a class year cut since the practice is quite different. Took me 4 months to get my first BL offer since I began looking, and 9 months to accept an offer I actually wanted.
