Keep building those relationships w your students, as much as you can in high school. The teachers I remember most, and I’m retiring in June… is those teachers who were approachable and who I felt seen by. If nothing else, my students can take at least that away w them. And, keep your passion for teaching fueled, if possible. Good luck!
Just enjoy your last days of teaching and don't feed to much into it. You have definitely earned your stars as being an Educator.

You say “great teaching career.” Congrats. Don’t stop being great. I’ve seen too many “retire” a year or two before leaving the classroom. Finish strong and let the finish be part of your legacy. Show your young colleagues the right way to go out!
(And then volunteer to read to elementary classrooms once or twice a week or help out in other youth activities. Just because you’re retired doesn’t mean you are done teaching or done making an impact.)
Honestly, just remaining to be there for your students and genuinely care about their education and personal needs. That makes such a huge difference in these kids lives.
