Great fast, strong, loyal, can keep secrets, passionate about people and kindred spirited.. Great at organizing garages, cleaning offices, I do well at multi-tasking around anything really. I sell clothes, turn an old vintage piece into new-age art.
I am an enterprenuer, love to do voice acting or audible books.

Do you work for any kind of company or brand yourself as an organizer? I know a local business (mostly just one woman and a few assistants) who come into people's home and have a whole system of organizing. It takes like 2 days and they charge upwards of like 2500 for the work, but it's super popular especially among moms. Could be a cool move if you haven't thought about fully branding yourself that way

ooh vintage is where it's at! Where do you sell your upcycled creations? About 1/3 of my income comes from buying and selling vintage and antique jewelry. The quality is so much better than modern stuff. I try to restore everything I can, but I have fun making something new out of broken pieces.

What is actual protocol with resigning from your firm? For context I’m at a firm of about 30 attorneys, and I have a comprehensive and professional email that I’m ready to send to the board. Some of those partners are in the office and some are remote, but the main one I work with is known for really losing his cool when people put their notice in. So I’m not really sure if it’s necessary or productive to tell someone in person first. Thoughts?

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations

Interviewing at a dream company, and right from the first interview the recruiter told me we are way off on salary expectations. This was a little bit expected, as the role is requiring a few years less experience than I have and also in a much cheaper market. They already told me the salary range during this first call, but wondering if they like me enough and I get an offer, how I might approach negotiating for more. I would be making much less than I do now, but it is a dream company.

I renegotiated my start date and it’s different from the date I signed on the offer letter. Do I need to request a revised offer letter or is the email thread with the recruiter sufficient. By the way, my background check is already in progress.

Got an offer for Sr. Financial Analyst for 85k & 10% annual bonus. What's a good counteroffer? I told the recruiter 95k-110k when I first interviewed. This position is 100% remote, headquartered in VA. I live in NYC. Have roughly 2 YOE.

Thanks.

Im currently going through industry change.
Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.

For expert witnesses/lawyers

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
