Guys, I’ve been at my company 2 years. Pay is fine, 90% remote, pretty chill. I’m a high-performing engineer but so disgruntled with the culture and corporate BS. A promised title bump is taking ages. Plus, cross-team collaboration is a siloed mess and efficiency has plummeted. Is it like this at all mid-sized corporate jobs, or do I need to move to a smaller, genuinely agile company to feel challenged and fulfilled?

Partner said they wanted to add an additional, more senior associate to the team on one massive case that went from “stayed” to “on fire” in the span of a month. Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. I want to be more thoughtful on my next move and although interviewing right away would be logical I feel I want to take a break and some time for myself. So... Switching jobs but they have a 60-day waiting period for insurance at the new spot. Do I pay full premium on insurance for those months, or is it the same? I do not understand COBRA.

How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.
