Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. Over a year ago, I lateraled from a firm doing mostly land use/development to a volume lender debt finance practice. By volume I mean I’m on 15+ deals a day. After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

I got a very positive feedback overall & was hoping to get promoted this year.. I was told that my communication is good when one on one (I'm an introvert) but my voice lowers when I get receive pushback in a group setting (especially from Senior Management).. Looking for tips on how I can improve and be more assertive.. TIA!
