Had my GC biometrics appointment in April under EB13 category. What have people here seen as the general wait time to getting the GC from here on? I’m hearing 6-12 months as well as 5 months in some cases

My company has started my I-140 application. The first stage is complete - got my prevailing wage approved. My HR recently told me that during the next stage (advertising for the role and PERM), my salary cannot be changed - no hikes or raises. Is this true? Some colleagues are giving me conflicting information so I wanted to be sure before asking the HR again.
