Most firms maintain a practice of confirming only your dates of employment or that you were employed by the firm
The background check company may not even call the firm. I’ve recently seen my sibling’s background check report. For one of the firms, the company used something called Work Number(?) to confirm the dates of employment. For the other one, there was no data on Work Number so they made a note re who they talked to at the firm to confirm the dates. No info other than the dates was provided in the report.
I was let go early after I resigned.

Typically, a background check just confirms you were employed and the dates.
No. Would be weird shit (unless you are really bad).
