If you can afford it, buy the fun car. And do yourself a favor, get it in a manual
It's not hard to learn, trust me, you'll love it. It's also a built-in anti-theft device.
Get the fun car now while your knees are in good enough shape to get in and out without any pain.
I test drove a Corvette on my 47th birthday. I loved the way it looked, the way it drove, the way it sounded. But I literally had to roll out of the driver's seat because it was too low, and my knees couldn't handle it. 😥
I wish I was 47…
Got the fun car at 24 (bmw). I’m 27 now, best decision I made, especially with how much i drove it with covid.
For something you use so much, it’s great for it to be something you love or find fun
Leased an A4 back when I was making as much as the car cost and enjoyed it so much. Worth it. Now I have a Jetta and waiting for inventories to correct to get something more fun again. Don’t bankrupt yourself but definitively have fun while you can!
I’ve owned 3 VW GTIs and think it’s a lovely mix of both the Jetta and Mini and let you have your cake and eat it too! It comes in a dual clutch auto so has way more engagement than the Jetta auto and shifts close to a manual. Practical and fun.
^agree. I had a 2013 CC with the DSG and it was a lot of fun to throw around. GTI is probably more reliable than the Mini too
