Has anyone been able to negotiate hikes/promotions during pay talks with offer in hand from other companies?

Has anyone made the transition from sustainability consulting to working in industry? Curious to hear how it went and what role you are. It seems like most corporate sustainability positions are at director or VP level and I’m wondering if that’ll change soon to bring in manager level or below

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. I got offer from NatWest Chennai location . My skills set is project management 13 years experience. They have mentioned in my offer letter B7 corporate title is associate. When I ask to hr guy he said it is equal to Manager level. But title will change department department. Is it true? B7 is manager role ? What is CDIO department in Natwest. Please clear my doubts
