Has anyone encountered this before? Yuck!

That just screams identity theft

um…that’s just for the “application” process?

I wouldn’t share all of that with someone I was dating!

Yes, I've seen something similar listed on some job listings I applied to. Never got a response so I have no clue what it actually means for the actual process. My guess is there's at least some one-way video somewhere where you answer questions to no one where they get to store that video somewhere or something.

I've also done the crappy coding tests that take photos of you every couple of minutes for whatever dumb reason, forgot if it was HackerRank or TestGorilla or something else, but it was one of those kinds of things. Those job listings had similar, but slightly less scary, phrasing.

In the past there's no way I would comply to that just to get an interview. Today I can understand it in the age of AI and interview bots. I still don't like it though.

What…. No that is a scam. I guarantee that is not a real opportunity… That would be unhinged.

I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.
