Has anyone ever been so exhausted at work that you actually needed to sneak in a nap? It might sound funny, but I’ve definitely resorted to taking a quick power nap in my car during lunch a few times, especially on those days when I could barely keep my eyes open. Not going to lie, a 30-minute made a huge difference in how I felt for the rest of the day. Curious if anyone else has tried mid-day power naps or found other ways to recharge when you're running on fumes at work?

I don't have a good place to take a nap, but if I did I might sneak one in now and then. When I was working remotely there were more than a few times when I napped for a half-hour or so. In fairness, I was also working longer hours than usual, so a little nap in the late afternoon more or less made that possible.

Totally get that! Those power naps can be a game changer, especially when you're putting in long hours. Remote work definitely made it easier to sneak one in without judgment!

Now retired-but my last job was remote and business was crazy in 2020-working upwards of 55 hours a week-so every now and then a 30 minute nap was the cure all and helped me make it through the 11 hour workday.

Those quick naps can be lifesavers during intense stretches. Sounds like they helped you power through some seriously long days!

I do the same thing in my car a few times per week. I get an hour for lunch that I don't really need since I pack mine every day. I'll go sit in the car, crank the AC, eat quickly and then throw on a podcast and close my eyes. I don't always fall asleep, but I still always feel more alert and rested after regardless.

That sounds like a great routine—sometimes just closing your eyes and zoning out for a bit is all you need to recharge. Podcasts and AC make it even better!

I definitely have done that. A half hour power nap definitely make a difference.

Those naps were everything when I was pregnant and have a 1 hour lunch.

I love a good Power Nap 🙌🏾

Repost - The % of the African American population killed by police in 2019 is roughly 0.0005%. It was 235 people. But around the same year 6,000 african americans were killed by eachother. How do we reconcile these facts? In 2013, 72% of african americans were born to single parent households; one of the strongest indicators of future poverty and criminal disposition. Can we acknowledge and fix instances of police brutality while also not ignoring our cultural problems as well?
