No. Even threatened a lawsuit bc men had more 100% paid days off for paternity (4 weeks fully paid) than women did for maternity (8 weeks short term disability @60% then you can use your vacation). Good luck.

I tried to (in 2018), I made a whole deck showing the leave of other countries we operate in, what our competitors and clients (who people left to go work for) offered, and included research on how important leave was for mental, physical health and how it would help us return to work more positively. My boss’s boss was Canadian and had her own kids so was very supportive in bringing it to her higher ups too. In the end they didn’t give more paid maternity leave but they did improve the paid paternity policy from 2 to 4 weeks and gave everyone the option of 2 extra unpaid weeks.
