I am struggling with negotiating for a new AE/Sr AM position due to my current base being $104k plus bonuses. Am I really too expensive to hire with a 10% or more increase? Have I capped out? Planning for a baby (fingers crossed) in the next year. I'm in-house and have a great gig with great WLB. Downside is low salary, subpar health insurance (no IVF coverage), and no additional maternity leave (other than state/federal). I'm in the final stages interviewing at a tech company where I could easily double my salary, get 6 months paid leave, and get IVF covered. I'm concerned about WLB though - any advice/insight? Should I stay or try to jump before getting pregnant?
