Hi,
I have joined ACTI a month back in Kolkata in L9. I wanted to opt for Company Car Lease policy just to save TAX but finding it too complicated.
I had raised queries to payrole and they have replied with a suggestion to think twice before opting for this benifit.
What do you all suggest, who have already opted for it?Accenture

Yes. I left the public accounting industry in February and am now in the Education field!! It’s never too late to start over!
Honestly so bad. I went from making 100k to 20/hr but I joined a start up and have lots of room for growth so it’s worth starting over. Luckily I have a partner who makes good money so we can swing it
I am going back to law school, partly to buy myself time and partly bc I’m not a fan of accounting and the paycheck
I posted earlier I’m going into an apprenticeship program
I feel the exact same way but have no idea what to pivot to. It’s also difficult because I have a 2 yr old son (so don’t really have the flexibility and time to go back to school right now) and on track to make manager in FAAS. But I echo the soul sucking experience
This may be a silly question but what makes FAAS soul sucking? I had some interest switching to it but dont want to make the wrong move either lol
I moved into accounting & finance recruiting at an agency. Took a cut on salary but the commission makes up for it. Granted I’m early in my career with no dependents at home, so I could afford to take that up front cut. Not everyone can. But it’s much more fulfilling.
Also curious. Also, how did you make the connection to get into recruiting?
Kind of. Moved to FP&A in tech and now full time on Big 4 Transparency. No more accounting work, but I’m deeper in the industry than ever
I want to transition to investment banking
I’m contemplating this currently. Been a fund accountant for 15 years and there is an opportunity to move into a role data management (monitor and gather info throughout firm). It feels like a rare opportunity because it’s so hard to get out of accounting once you’re in it but also daunting to make a switch into something that you’re not sure.
