Following. I haven’t seen this but I’d say shoot your shot irs chief counsel is touting all their hiring. I recently applied and still waiting to hear. Do you do a lot of litigation as a solo? Seems like that’s what they want.

Wish you the best. And good to know that it took a few months for you to get the interview. I’m used to the industry which is much quicker.

I’ve seen it. I used to work at Counsel and when I started (5 or so years ago) there was someone starting with me who previously was solo and closed shop to join Counsel.

Is it good to ask counter offer to company A?.
If yes, when should I ask. Now itself or few days before the joining date.?

For FAR, what do most people think is a realistic number of modules to get through per day/week while working full time. For me, the hour lectures generally take up to 2-3 weekdays to get through lecture, MCQ, Skills, and Sims. By the time the weekend comes, I’m exhausted and need a break, but this seems too slow.

Additional Posts in Tax Law

My law school experience has built heavily around bankruptcy and tax. I’ve been interested in pursuing a tax LLM. Doing corporate bankruptcy now. Admittedly I like both fields. Can anyone share some insight and/or advice for pursuing the LLM?

Hi all! I’m applying to NYU tax llm and I’m pretty confident I can get in,but it’s unlikely I’ll receive a scholarship. I’m working at a non big4 consulting firm for about 1.5yrs now, doing mainly international with some M&A exposure. I want to do llm because I still want to shoot for biglaw. I have a small kid so it’ll be hard to do the program part time. Should I quit my current job and enroll full time? Meaning lose 1yr salary and taking on a job security risk. TIA!

I'm considering switching my practice from tax to exec comp so that I can work remotely indefinitely. If I dislike it, do you think it would be difficult to switch back? I'm a 4th year that works in biglaw.
