I’ve struggled with that many times! The first time it happened, I was on a programmed cycle, and they sucked the fluid out before transfer — was not successful. For my subsequent successful cycles, I was on a natural cycle, with the addition of Clomid at the beginning of my cycle, but the fluid always resolved itself before transfer for those cycles. It’s a bit counterintuitive, because Clomid does raise estrogen levels and causes fluid, but perhaps having more than one corpus luteum produces more than enough progesterone to dry it up — my progesterone at betas were always so high that they told me it was above the scale that the lab’s assay measures.
Thanks for sharing
Happened to me many times, repeatedly. A lot of times that happens with estrogen/hormone administration. But once youre on progesterone the fluid absorbs. What kind of transfer cycle are you having?
They would have me come back the day before or day of transfer to see how things looked. I had some cycles canceled because of it and some where the fluid was minimal enough the day before transfer or day of transfer that they proceeded. If you scour the internet you'll see mucinex as one of the suggestions. I also took l-argenine, vitamin e, and vitamin d for uterine lining stuff. Eventually something worked, but the repeated fluid in the lining was a very frustrating process.
Thank you!
Repeat scan still shows some fluid. Also a little concerning is the reduction in UL thickness by 1 mm but it's still >7, so the nurse said it's fine. We're expecting a call from the RE later.
An unrelated note is sharing my concern about the reduction in UL led to an argument with my wife and being brandished negative. It's our last euploid, so emotions are high.
Last euploid for now... maybe youve determined your last shot. But whatever you do, dont do any i told you sos if it doesnt work, it does nobody any benefit.
Trust the medical team and give it your all. I ultimately had a lining less than 7mm that we went with plus the fluid issues. People have been successful with far worse, its so easy to look back at all the possible failures but theres still so much chance and unknown associated with the process even with controlling as much as we know of today.
