Do it! My husband and I did an amazing week in Italy when I was 7 weeks pregnant. I was starting to get morning sickness, so that sucked, but it was such a happy trip!
Good luck with your journey!
Chief
I ultimately decided against it, but my considerations were:
- Didn't want to deal with traveling with injections / meds (I know it's no big deal, but just one more thing to make not fun)
- Being away from the doc if anything needed to be adjusted (probably due to being used to so much extensive monitoring from IVF)
- Just the emotional / mental state of "rocking the boat" after going through such a journey to get to that point
All that being said, if I had gotten pregnant naturally or hadn't gone through the full IVF experience, I'm sure I would've felt different! Do what feels right for you! Now 14 weeks and am traveling next week, not at all worried :)
No, go for it! Travel while you can for sure!! Sounds awesome!
Assuming this is your first pregnancy. It’s not necessarily “risky” you might just be feeling pretty awful. I’ve had friends who hardly knew they were pregnant and others who could not get out of bed for months. Typically at the least you’re pretty exhausted, it might be best to hold off until you’re 15-17 weeks, that’s a bit more of a safe zone but I do think it’s personal preference.
For us vacations were good luck. We did 5 total IUIs for our 2 boys and the 2 that worked were both ones where we left for vacation the day after the procedure.
Keep living your best life. Plan your trip and you could always cancel close to June, if not comfortable.
