Hey, welcome to Ireland! I made the move from the US a while back and can confirm there are definitely some work-life culture differences. People here generally value time off a bit more and the pace can feel less rushed. Don’t be surprised if colleagues chat about weekend plans or suggest a coffee break. It might take a little while to make connections, but folks are friendly if you’re open to joining in, whether that’s grabbing lunch or heading to a work social event.
Get involved in a local sports club or activity of some sort in the best way to get to know people.
Ireland is a small country, everybody knows everybody and is incredibly friendly,
Ireland is also the gateway to Europe make sure you take full advantage of last minute cheap flights for a long weekend and go explore
