Booked my tickets to go to India with Lufthansa. Checked baggage allowance SEVERAL times. Now it's taking me to United to check-in and United is only allowing 1 bag to be checked in. Other one apparently is $100. Is there anyway I can fight or salvage this situation?! (We're traveling a party of 4 so I'm looking at extra baggage charges of $400 one way) .

My mom is not well and had a surgery in India… luckily my sister is there to take care of our parents. I offered to help with the cost of procedures etc. to which my sister hasn’t said anything yet…me and my sis are best friends/competitors in a good way. This morning I asked her that am gonna book my ticket and travel to India to visit mom post op. She point blank said ‘ please don’t come now, it wouldn’t be of any use, mom is recovering now and I don’t want to deal with your NRI demands now’
