Months, generally 2+ for pharma and sometimes longer. Typically, the patients have already been identified before we start the creative work, or at least the search is going in parallel. The answers that are citing 2 weeks, etc are likely not real patients, but regular talent. Patients are not people you as a creative or the creative agency identify by yourself. Often there is a separate agency (advocacy agency, or patient engagement agency) that handles this given certain parameters, and they work with you or your clients to identify the patients. This is for HIPAA privacy reasons.

Brace yourself. It’s a nightmare no matter how long you have.
2 weeks. In general. Depending on the size of the campaign and ethnicities you need to cover. But an important note: the photographer/Director you chose should lead this answer.
Do you usually go through the photographer or a separate agency? If I have to wait for a photographer, like typical casting, I really only have two weeks. Casting parallel to photographer search could give that extra time to source
I do a ton of these. I like to leave 4-8 weeks if possible. But have also done it in way less. I think pharma (vs a health system or hospital client) will take more time.
😊 Mid-market health systems and through a boutique agency…and also a few years ago. True, things have changed. Lately, working in pharma, the casting timeline starts out shorter but always takes longer!
