How ya feeling so far? 14 days in and I miss drinking. A lot. Especially this time of year. I am struggling
I hear you - my sobriety date is in December too (last year). The plus side is that once you make it through this season it makes it easier. It's that sort of exposure the makes you stronger. Call or message someone if you ever to talk, but do well and you have a good ahead of you!
Best unsolicited advice for the season - be smart and plan ahead! Don't underestimate the addiction.
Keep it up! I hit 100 days today. Never felt better
I feel motivated to stay with jt. I can't say I miss it yet but I'm sure my circumstances are very different than yours. 7 days ago was a very low point in my drinking after which I finally feel like for the first time saw clearly the path I was going and I just saw my past drinking experiences which I used to think were fun and excusable in a completely different light - if that makes sense. And it was not good. I hope to keep with this. Physically I feel good and even down a couple of pounds. I have some sugar cravings though... But allowing myself that in moderation. Mentally I feel ok but I still have an enormous amount of guilt I'll need to begin working through. My sleep has been affected. I have dreams about people judging me and not being able to face my coworkers. I've been working out which helps with the stress, but mentally I feel like it's very much a teeter totter. I hope that helps. Feel free to DM if you need to chat
Thank you for sharing that with us. Reading that really brought me back. Always a good thing to have those memories fresh in my head. Let me know if there’s anything I can do to support you. Keep it up!
