Hi everyone. A PDM specialist here. Joined Deloitte 5+ years back as ‘Senior Solution Engineer -On-site’.Later in June 2017 all these ‘on-site’ folks got rebranded as PDM. Slowly started to realize how PDM is getting sidelined as a ‘discountable’ group. Sometimes I feel contract jobs are better than being at PDM , but obviously tied up with D for visa related issues. No career progression so far and don’t see any positive changes in the near future as well.I think it’s high time to call it a day.

So do I have any options? Do I move off to a different agency? Or suck it up? I honestly moved to the new shot because of this particular account..
If you have pharma experience, and it sounds like you do, try and coach your creative team. They clearly are interested, and the most difficult aspect of pharma is, honestly, learning to stick to the label. Sounds like your team knows this.
They should be able to use creative that the consumer side is doing. The next difficult thing for non-pharma folks to grasp is that HCPs are smarter and have been to school for much longer than copywriters. Address them with the kind of respect you might have shown your professors in college.
In short - seems to me that the situation is not as dire as you think. Stay with it , and good luck!

I’m confused. You joined and your client realized that nobody had pharma experience, so now the account is in review? But they gave you more scope?
I'm on the HCP side of the business, and they realized that our creative team (art/copy) do not have any pharma experience. But the DTC side had won more budget.
Is your creative team interested in learning about pharma? Can you get a new team?
What’s their boss doing to train them? The accountability shouldn’t fall on you for what seems to be an unwillingness to learn the basics.
Curious what agency this is. What holding company is this under? It sounds like an awful situation to be in for you and your team.
It's one of the five big groups - keeping anonymity :(
