I would say that at this time, if you are solid in your current position, it is likely not the best time to change jobs, you don’t want to be low man on the totem pole. That being said, if you are already at or near the bottom and do get a better opportunity, take the leap and go for it. Insurance is one “product “ that people continue to need, regardless of the economy.
I haven't seen any reporting to that effect, but common sense would tell us that people must be wary about expanding their payroll. If we're pushed into a recession, or even a major slowdown, all companies will be looking to cut costs. Anyone looking for a job now could really use a steady business environment, and that's exactly what we're not getting.
This is late stage capitalism. We're all in trouble.
Freezes are being planned everywhere at large companies, and layoffs might begin in a few months if things stay bad. You know companies look for any excuse to raise prices and cut expenses.
Slowed for sure
