Hey Fishes - I’m trying to move back from US to the gulf. KSA, UAE, or Qatar. Interviewed with a smallish consulting company but they decided my profile was more senior for the role. Applying online didn’t get me good salary.
Any advice or anyone willing to refer me?

Great thesis on the current state of GME. It’s not a suggestion in either direction, but it’s a very good analysis of facts to help determine hold or sell or buy more. These decisions should be based on facts. Even if the goal is investing to make a statement, at least need to know what players are there to make statements against. https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/lbaktb/sober_review_time_what_are_the_actual_data_we_can/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

You should either move companies, bring it up to your manager, or work less hard
Go back and do research on your market value and ask for a 6 month benchmark/review. At this review, if evaluation is positive, ask for an increase to market value (because you know you can get 10-15% more if you do make a change). If MMA is smart, they’ll honor an increase in tune for employee retention, especially if you’re one of the strong players. You’re in a good spot because right now it’s the employee’s market.
The pay equity in the workplace will always be “unfair” because there’s not a whole lot of transparency. Even with the more recent pay equity act in CA (assuming you’re from CA), employers are only required to release salary ranges for the roles you’re applying for IF ASKED, but only after your first interview. After hire, there’s no rule that the employer needs to share such information.
