Have a interview with Moelis M&A team (NYC). Can anyone offer some tips given any exposure they had with the team before or information they gathered from other forums?

From what I gathered it, it is a volume shop and they are a busy team. Aside from that, I am not sure how model intensive the team is relative to the industry groups.

Any information or insight into the team would be greatly received!

Need some advice: I currently do corp dev and FP&A for a smaller company and just got an offer for about double my salary at a F200 company. What are bonuses like for a first year IB Analyst in London? (Think US banks like GS, MS, Citi etc.)

Considering pivoting into a local MM IB. As my title suggests, my technical skills aren’t as honed as one who has focused on the analysis route. How much of being an Analyst at a smaller IB is technical skill heavy coming into the role? I hold my 7, 66, 24, and am not worried about getting the 79. Any input for how realistic this is? When looking at one particular firm’s career page it doesn’t mention technical skills or modeling once, which led me to believe it may be less important than soft.

Received an offer for equity research and IB, both in toronto. ER paying $120k base and my understanding is that bonus can be around 25-30%. IB is paying $105k base but likely higher bonus? Which one would u choose if you think you would be good at both

I’m a new analyst at an IB group. I’ve felt that I’ve done well my first month or two and delivered higher quality work, but I feel that lately I’ve been slipping up the past few weeks given the intensity of the deal as well as having multiple peripheral work streams. Asking for wife who's also in banking. If she got ~$100k in signing bonus in 2019 for 1 year commitment in CA and started FT in July 2020, assuming she leaves before July 2021, can her employer claw back full amount in California? Some say it's much tougher to do so under CA law but wonder if anyone has any insights. Banks won't likely care about analyst signing bonuses, but associate bonus at EB with diversity bonus can be significant. If she quits before, she won't be going to another bank.
