Have you ever applied for a job out of desperation, and when you finally got it, you realized it was totally not for you? That happened to me once. I was looking for work and attended a workshop, only to find out it was a commission-based job where you had to go door-to-door chasing customers. Definitely not something I was looking for! They kept calling me to accept the position, but I politely gave a hard no.

I think this is a common occurrence. A lot of these predatory multilevel marketing and commission jobs prey on people who are desperate for work. It's happened to me once or twice.

What was more surprising to me was they did not mention anything about this commision thing in their job description. It felt like a trap to get people attend their seminar and make them sign up for the job.

I fell for one. Lasted three weeks, made almost nothing. It's easy to get sucked into something like that when you're desperate for money. It tends to blind you to what in hindsight should've been obvious red flags. Mostly it all sounding way too good to be true.

Oh really? I did not have the courage to even accept the job offer at first place. They kept calling me and I was like,“ this is not something I am looking for". Period.
