Have you ever had an interview question that completely caught you off guard? I was once asked in an interview if I were a tree, what kind of tree would I want to be… definitely an interesting choice in question.

I would make like a tree and get out of there 😂

I got a version of that question too, just with superheroes instead of trees. I don't remember how I answered, I just remember how annoyed I was by the question. One, because it's irrelevant, two because I detest superhero movies.

I know there has to be something they’re hoping to get out of these type of questions, but I really can’t see it as anything but a bad icebreaker

That is the most random question lol

Damn, that's the one interview question I would do good at. I love trees! 😂

That’s such a weird question for sure and it would definitely catch me off guard.

Once, when I was little, I was playing Monopoly with my cousin. I was the banker, and I liberally “quantitatively eased” myself whenever he wasn’t looking.

I got unlucky and lost the game but I threw an absolute FIT, accusing my cousin of cheating because I knew how severely I’d cheated myself. How could he have won if HE didn’t cheat?!

Donald Trump’s righteous, desperate conviction is that of a losing cheater. I only hope he gets the time out he so richly deserves.

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?
