I’m 15 weeks this week and we just told some friends of ours the exciting news… except one of them texted me after the fact to say “I did notice that you were getting ‘bigger,’ but I just chalked it up to the stress of your new manager role. Glad to hear it’s bc you’re pregnant!”
Um, maybe I’m being sensitive, but that seems a little rude? At this point, my weight gain does look just like bloating and not a bump, but who says that out loud?

Out of curiosity, how are your firms handling COVID still? If a partner at the firm has COVID, do they come in even when contagious? Currently at a firm that doesn’t allow any WFH and partner came in only after a few days of having COVID…..I understand we need to move forward but I hate feeling perpetually gaslit about this virus — we’re still in a pandemic! Rant over.

Currently working as an estimator for Progressive. I work from home 100% of the time from the Boston area. I am looking for any in-site into other work from home insurance jobs. I’m starting to explore new companies but places all tend to have their own wording for what they call a position. Looking for ideas on what they pay as well. Let’s be real, nobody likes wasting time on a application and interview to get a lower offer. Thank you.

For the last 5 years, I’ve worked at an insurance defense firm and I have gained a ton of overall litigation experience. I have 1st chaired and second chaired over 17 cases. (Mostly auto and premises work) However, I’ve realized that I do not want to try cases anymore and don’t want to stay in insurance defense. I currently make $150,000.00 per year and I’m interested in switching areas of law while still making my same salary. What are some good areas of law to consider post insurance defense?

Best websites for finding jobs as a nurse practitioner?

Can someone tell me more about Infection Control Nursing? How hard is it to get your first job? Do you have to have the apic certification before first job? From my understanding, you just walk around to the hospital units, get the rates of each disease and report them to the dir., like a consultant, m-f, and I need 2 years of infection control nurse experience to start studying for CIC, then I could become an Infection Preventionist. Is this correct? Thanks!
