It is not excessive given the fact its an ethics exam.
Ironic isn't it? Doing something unethical on an ethics exam.
Agreed. This is honestly one of the biggest ironies I have ever heard. They played a dangerous game by risking it and now they have to face the consequence. A heavy one to say the least.
No. Seems fair
To me 100m seems like there are more details here that perhaps weren’t made public. Seems like EY may have a little trouble landing audits for the next little while. I don’t know if I’d want a firm auditing me with a recent 100m fine (largest in history) for being unethical on ethics exams.
I agree! In this field, reputation is also a dealbreaker for our clients. Let's see how EY would go for the next couple of months.
I wonder what is their basis for such unconscionable amount. However I will agree with the previous comment only on the part where he/she said that it is so ironic. Cheating on your ethics exam. I wonder how they feel about it too.
Nope! They had it coming. Cheating, especially in an ethics exam must never be condoned. Cheating and ethics don't go well with each other in all levels so, yes it is not excessive!
No I haven't heard about it. Do you have a link to an article.
