East or west Manual is the best, we cannot completely test the product using automation alone, we need to think the scenarios manually like positive and negative flows , so without manual testing it’s not possible but many mid level and even some big companies expecting automation knowledge, I’m having 8.6 years of exp into manual testing alone and earning 26 LPA now
Can you plz refer me
Let me be very honest. Manual Testing is a sunset Industry, You need to learn Automation testing/ Performance / Security testing.
You can train a fresh graduate to do manual testing and put them on job for month and they will be effective.
Been in testing for more than 11 years and have expertise in all the flavours of testing.
You definitely need to pivot to one of the other forms of testing mentioned in above post. Initially you can look for some automation, security or performance related work in your same project/company. Learn the ropes and then can move on.
Stand alone Manual testing wont fetch so many opportunities. Even if you are giving interview for manual testing, People will ask automation framework, coding(Simple ones), to build CI/CD piepline.
Most of the industrys are just saying 100% automation nothing like only 30% they can achieve you have to learn automation to crack and for better understanding that's enough.
Rising Star
For starters it is a good skill to start with later if she feels confident enough with her skills and flexible enough to learn automation testing she can easily switch there.
