All the time. However, decided to buy out years and retire early after this year.
This is really awesome! If you have the time …
I think you have to do what's best for your situation. That said, it would be hard to leave the kids mid-way.
I’m currently thinking about right now. My resignation form has been filled out for 5 years already. I update it every year. This year I was told my job was killing me. So I’m looking for something new. More structure with boundaries. K-12 has no boundaries.
So many times! I think it all comes down to the right opportunity. If you find something better, and are looking for some change then why not!
It can be a pretty fulfilling option, I'm thinking of leaving my current position and looking for options like that but it can really depend on what you find. It hasn't been easy to find somethign though
It’s not uncommon.
I have made it a personal policy to not leave a position once the school year has started. I don't believe that it is fair to the student. It can be confusing and disruptive to them. That was particularly true when I was teaching a lower grade, 6th, but even with high school I just feel like it is not in the best interest of the students. At the end of the day, they are truly my reason for being in this profession.
If I need a change of venue, I would do it because no one else is going to have my interest in mind.
Not a good look. Your new position will call your current employer and they will say you quit half way through the year.
