Having trouble trying to get a role as a Senior Media Buyer/Growth Strategist as a remote contractor in the UK/US.

Recruiters/hiring managers always came back saying "your profile stands out from the rest with your experiences" but after the screening call, I am always told they will proceed with another candidate.

I am from Malaysia, is this because of my country/timezone problem? I even told them that I worked with US/UK companies remotely and have adapted to the timezones.

I am straight off the Mayflower white. Does applying look super tone-deaf? Is this an unofficial way of stating that they’re only considering non-white individuals for the role?
