Have to fill out a form “bathroom waiver”, which is basically allowing teachers at the school to clean my child after a potty, including genital area. I feel uneasy about this but I know I have to let them… I assume all parents have signed such waiver?

All-my dad has been guilt tripping me into visiting him. He is 8 hours away driving without stopping. I am pregnant and am not traveling anywhere where I can’t drive non stop - not even seeing my in laws 90 minutes away. I know it sounds crazy but that is where I am. He half jokingly said I could wear Depends. Please tell me I’m not crazy and that it’s okay for me to not go and my dad should be at least somewhat understanding. We don’t have the best relationship.

What would you do? My father in law is rough with my young kids. A lot of this happens when he’s tired and they are moderately misbehaving (examples below). Tonight we were going to leave the kids for date night and I saw him be rough w my 2 and 4 yo. We canceled date night and talked to him. His response: well that’s the way I am. If you don’t trust me don’t leave your kids with me. How would you handle? I respect and look up to him which is why I regrettably allowed this to go on in the past.

We recently sleep trained our 7 month son. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…

Our toddler isn't quite done with potty training. He knows to run to the potty to pee, but poops are almost always an accident. We are working with a pediatric GI to resolve chronic constipation issues + rewards for timely pooping.

My son's daycare is just being a pain and constantly sending emails reminding us how tough it is on the teachers / staff, despite us telling them how much we're trying.

Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

My ex-wife is suggesting sending our 3 year old to a early school program, from 7am-5pm. Which I think is too long for a 3 year old. Any perspectives on this from other parents? Thanks

Any parents who are still on the safe side with Covid? We have a 1 year old and being safe and staying mostly home is really getting to me. Most of our friends have kids who are able to mask up or are vaccinated and it’s getting quite isolating. Especially now mask mandates are being lifted feeling like we can’t go anywhere without risking our kid.
