Hello everyone! I'm looking for some advice. I'm want to become a teachers aide in japan. I've signed up to take classes in bachelor of arts education (not for an actual teaching license) and wanted actual teachers views. Is it in your opinion better to get teaching license even though it's not a license in other countries? Or am I good just doing the basics and learning more in another country?

Thanks in advance for your input! I truly appreciate any Insights and wisdom!

After you earn your BA or BS you can apply to teach English in Japan. They have positions in schools, community centers, and even businesses have English classes. Be prepared to work many hours per week for not very much in pay. Cost of living is really high in cities. Pick a place to live near a train station.

Thanks I appreciate the advice!

You can look into the JET program. It is pretty straight forward and easy, if not a bit tedious. I applied for it in November and got in, but wasn’t able to continue further due to personal reasons. They’re already finished with the initial round, but you should check back in November if you are able.
