It's been almost 12 years!
Going on 3 years starting to get tired of this pet of the industry though!
I have been working as a Manger since 2013. Started as a Chairside in the 90’s got my CDA and Sedation. Have managed multiple dental offices at once (4) now down to 2 .. my ideal is one office..
5.5 years as dental office manager for me before I transitioned out to do design full time. Started out as receptionist, billing, credentialing, missing claims. Total 6 YOE. Managed 2 out of 3 offices for a private family practice.
Initially, I wanted to go to dental school to get into orthodontics but I'm in my 30s and didn't want to come out of school with the debt.
Now, I'm trying to find opportunities where I can merge my interest and experience in dentistry (preventive/pediatric/Ortho/insurance side), front office, and design together.
Have you ever looked into working for a DSO? It’s corporate for the dental world with so many opportunities to grow in the company and branch off into dental but not necessarily in an dental office etc
