Start at the non-profit. Take the discovery call. Make your decision if/when an offer comes in. I'd be ticked about being ghosted for so long, but if I really wanted to work for the agency, I'd shelve those feelings and hear them out.
Oooh that is so tough. I would go ahead and start the job and then see what happens with the other job. Better to have a job than not have one.
Agreed. Take the call, because who knows if you’ll even get an offer. At the very least you’ll build more connections and can stay in touch for the future.
Never meet your heroes. That agency is not picking you because it was a choice - they are picking you because you are the last option. Already in a compromising situation and you can turn it around but this is a huge conversation...Not something left to comments at glassdoor.
Either way this is your decision and you have to live with it. You have to do what you want to do.
If this agency is what you "want" tell the non profit exactly that - once you get an offer letter and sign it etc, go back to that NP and be totally honest and if the agency doesnt work out see if they will accept you in 3 months? OR ask the new agency - why are you filling this role and what happened with previous creative, what does the career path look like for this in the next 2-4-6years. Does creative have any type of bonuses etc in their pay - if so how often are they paid out and any examples with current employees that you can disclose.
Agencies can be shady - so protect yourself. Get everything in writing. Ask the questions first, make sure they know that you know.
Take both calls - entertain both. You are a business and you need to treat yourself as such and protect yourself.
