Hey all, I am Canadian and looking to stay permanently in the UK, I am 29 and on spouse visa. Things have been a bit rocky, and we might go our own ways. Just wanted to know how I can continue to live and work here permanently. Any immigration lawyers I can connect with here? Thank you

Its the other way round sir.
Your BRP is just that, a pass that represents your visa status.

Your visa status will change from Spousal to Skilled Worker upon approval of the new sponsorship and your BRP will then reflect that change.

As a Canadian you’d qualify for the Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa which allows you to stay in the UK up to 2 years without employer sponsorship. It’s a great visa which allows you to work for any employer, start a business, study or just plain live off your savings.

At 29 you just meet the current cutoff age of 30 (you can apply for it up until and including the year you turn 30). If you are turning 30 in 2024 then you are even luckier because that’s when the new program is proposed to start which would push the age limit to 35 and allow a period of stay of 3 years.

You could later convert to a Skilled Worker visa if you wanted.

My new job occasionally requires me to review vendor agreements. I don’t have any background in this area and am trying to get up to speed. My department doesn’t have a document management system, so it’s tough to find old agreements as precedent. Any recommendations for books or other sources - or any words of wisdom? Thanks!

I was just informed the earlier accommodation I made got messed up, I can't even begin to explain.

Can anyone please recommend a relatively cheap accommodation to me in London?.

Thank you so much.
