I figure there should be some point where you earn too much and it's not worth contributing to your Roth 401k

I NEED HELP WITH CREDIT SCORE issues: Two months ago my credit score went down by 30 to 40 points due to dad missing credit card payment by a day (i got added to as authorized user on his credit card for me to build credit but now I’m filled with regret). I was devastated by it. This past month I have been making more payments and paid off my aug statement in full thinking it will boost my credit score. But I don’t know why it went down another 10 points. More below:

Reason I am asking this is - I earn close to 1.5 lakhs every month and if someone had told me this during my college days I would have taken it eyes closed thinking this is more than enough. Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

I spent the last 3 months "growing up" & now I'm ready to go. 1st thing is for me to get my own place. I'd like to buy instead of rent because I don't want to pay someone else's mortgage.

I'm thinking of selling my car & cash out some of my 401k to buy a house. My thought is to put down 3.5% for a FHA loan then make a big payment towards the principal to reduce long-term interest.

Have an acquaintance who is a single mom; she purchased a used car 3 mos ago. Six wks later her 17yo wrecked it, air bags deployed, and estimates have ranged between $10-$18k in needed repairs while $21k is still owed. Acquaintance was switching insurance policies and flubbed the coverage dates and there were a few days where the vehicle was uninsured. No GAP insurance. I'm not seeing many options for her besides to continue pmts, fixing just enough to drive or voluntary repo. Thoughts?
