Joining EY GDS in a weeks time. Do we require any account in a specific bank for salary payments

Today is my orientation @EY GDS. Any recommendations that I should need to know!? Any questions that I should keep in focus!?

My DOJ is 21st March (today) - can someone reflect questions that I should ask first hand during the orientation!?

2. Balance Payment for March!?
3.Pay Cycle?
4. Leave Policies?

Anything that really should be known which could come handy. Calling experienced folls but who can help me figure out on this one, please!

I work for a small firm (about 20 attorneys) and make 90k. I’m coming up for a raise discussion in a couple of months but don’t know how to go about it/what is reasonable to ask for. I bill about 35 hrs/week at 400/hr, so I think I deserve a bump, especially considering the posture of the market. Any advice/feedback from similarly situated associates or partners at similarly sized firms?

Background: I was talking to a fellow Big Law junior associate (we’re 2nd years) about career goals and progression, we both want to go in-house but realized we don’t know alot about compensation

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. There is talk of bringing everyone back to the office full time and that’s not what I would like to happen. I’ve been searching for a new position in which it would be a remote role. My current company also said I am maxed out in term of what they are willing to pay salary wise.

Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.
